What started as just a dream…
…a casual conversation… has grown to become a staple of excellence in Northern Idaho.
It all started while Gabe was single, when he spent a winter doing construction in the North Idaho when he fell in love with the area. That love for the area never faded and after Gabe married his wife, Mandy, they found a listing for a coffee shop in Post Falls that was on its last leg.
The adventure and location appealed to the young couple so they made the leap.
Armed only with faith in God’s provision, a few years of coffee experience and an entrepreneur’s spirit they packed and made the 1300 mile move to open the original “Post Falls Coffee Company” in February of 2010.
The early days were rough! Gabe and Mandy would work 12 hour days in the shop and then get home to work on even MORE improvements to support the shop’s steady growth. Within 4 months, they hired their first team member, and took their first day off.
In February 2013, the Boohers expanded “Post Falls Coffee Company” to include a SECOND location with a BAKERY where delicious Muffins, Cookies, Scones, Bagels, Breads, and GIANT Cinnamon Rolls are made from scratch daily!
One of the company’s seven Core Values is “Positive and Healthy” so they are constantly looking for the highest quality ingredients to keep their products delicious and preservative free; both in the bakery and behind the coffee bar, tapping into LOCAL sources wherever possible.
Barely a year after opening their second store, their lives were changed forever with the news that a baby was on the way. Soon, a little boy joined the family – Troy Booher.
As Troy began to grow, so did the business, and he learned to walk while Gabe and crew remodeled the THIRD location, getting it ready for a NEW BRAND and style of coffee…
…this time in Coeur d’Alene.
TODAY, the company is now called “Terre Coffee & Bakery” and the Boohers are busier than ever! Between the THREE Coffee shops, the Roastery, and the Wholesale Bakery, the family works hard everyday, guiding the company and AMAZING team with a PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE.
