When we opened our third location in Coeur d’Alene, we knew it was time for a name that reflected not just where we were, but who we were. Post Falls Coffee Co. had served us well, but as we grew, we wanted something deeper—something simple yet meaningful.
That’s when we landed on Terre—the Italian word for “Earth.”
We loved the layers of meaning:
- A Reminder to Care for Creation – God placed us on this earth to steward it well. From the way we source our coffee beans to how we minimize waste in our shops, we strive to take that responsibility seriously.
- A Call to Be a Light – Matthew 5:16 tells us to “Let your light shine before others.” Whether it’s through the warmth of a great cup of coffee, a kind word, or a welcoming space, we want Terre to be a place that reflects His love.
- A Nod to Coffee’s Global Roots – Coffee is a gift from the earth, enjoyed across cultures and continents.
Our name is a small tribute to the global craft and care that goes into every bean we roast.
Simple. Meaningful. Rooted in purpose.
